4.3 Platform Content Generally

In particular, NIEdge makes no guarantee of:

• Success in any examination, whether internal assessments, semester examinations, or competitive examinations;
• Improvement in academic grades or performance metrics;
• Improvement in scores on standardised tests, aptitude tests, or skill assessments;
• Success in any job application, interview, internship application, or competitive selection process;
• Obtaining any particular salary, compensation package, or professional title;
• Mastery of any skill, subject, or area of knowledge;
• Acceptance to any educational programme, institution, or professional certification body;
• Any other outcome, result, or achievement that a user might associate with their use of the platform.

Academic and professional outcomes depend on a complex combination of factors, including the individual's prior knowledge, effort, learning ability, personal circumstances, health and wellbeing, economic circumstances, the quality of formal instruction received, the actions and decisions of third parties such as employers and examiners, and many other factors that are entirely outside NIEdge's control. The platform can provide resources, tools, and support, but it cannot control or guarantee outcomes.

6. Placement and Career Guidance

NIEdge may provide features, tools, content, or resources related to career preparation, placement readiness, internship guidance, interview preparation, resume and portfolio preparation, and related professional development activities. This section describes the specific limitations that apply to all career-related and placement-related content and tools on NIEdge.

6.1 No Placement Guarantee

NIEdge does not guarantee, represent, or warrant that use of any career preparation feature on the platform will result in placement in any organisation, employment in any role, selection for any internship, or any other form of professional engagement. Placement and hiring decisions are made exclusively by employers, recruiters, and other parties external to NIEdge. These decisions are based on a wide range of factors that NIEdge cannot control, predict, or influence, including the employer's specific requirements, the competitive pool of candidates, market conditions, and many other considerations.

6.2 Tool Outputs Are Directional, Not Prescriptive

Career preparation tools on NIEdge generate outputs based on general best practices, algorithmic evaluation criteria, or template-based guidance. This includes resume builders, profile evaluators, interview preparation guides, and any other tool that evaluates or scores a document or profile.

In particular, any tool that evaluates the compatibility of a resume or other document with automated applicant tracking systems or similar screening tools produces an estimate based on general publicly known criteria and heuristics. This estimate does not reflect the specific configuration, weighting, or criteria of any particular employer's or recruiter's system. Compatibility scores generated by any NIEdge tool should not be treated as a reliable predictor of whether your application will advance past any particular screening system.

6.3 Salary and Compensation Information

Any salary, compensation, package, or remuneration information referenced on NIEdge — whether in platform content, tools, or other features — is sourced from publicly available data, community-submitted information, or secondary sources, and may not reflect current market rates, actual employer offers, or any particular employer's compensation practices. Salary information is provided for general awareness and benchmarking purposes only and should not be used as the basis for financial decisions, salary negotiations, or compensation expectations without independent verification from authoritative sources.

6.4 Mock Interviews and Practice Tools

Any mock interview features, practice question tools, or interview preparation resources available on NIEdge are designed to help you practise and improve your communication and presentation. They do not simulate or replicate the actual interview processes, evaluation criteria, or decision-making frameworks used by any specific employer. Performance on any NIEdge mock interview or practice tool is not predictive of performance in actual interview situations.

7. Platform Tools and Generated Outputs

NIEdge provides a range of digital tools that generate or process outputs based on user-provided inputs. This section describes the general limitations that apply to all such tools, in addition to any specific limitations described in other sections of this Disclaimer.

7.1 Tools Are Assistive, Not Definitive

All tools on NIEdge are designed to be assistive — to help you organise, improve, and prepare. No tool on NIEdge is designed to provide definitive assessments, binding evaluations, or guaranteed outputs. The outputs of any NIEdge tool should be treated as a starting point for your own critical evaluation and further refinement, not as a final product that can be submitted or acted upon without independent review.

7.2 Document Generation Tools

Tools that generate or assist in generating documents — including but not limited to resume builders, cover letter tools, portfolio builders, and any other document generation feature — produce outputs based on templates, input data provided by you, and built-in formatting logic. NIEdge does not represent that documents generated by these tools will be accepted, approved, or considered favourably by any employer, institution, or evaluator. The quality and appropriateness of any generated document depends heavily on the quality and accuracy of the inputs provided by the user. Outputs should be reviewed, personalised, and edited by the user before use.

7.3 Analytical and Scoring Tools

Tools that produce scores, ratings, or analytical assessments — including profile completeness scores, readiness indices, skill gap analyses, or any other quantitative evaluation — produce these outputs based on defined internal criteria that are developed by NIEdge for general guidance purposes. These scores and ratings are not externally validated, independently verified, or certified by any professional body, institution, or employer. They should be treated as internal benchmarks within the NIEdge platform rather than as objectively accurate assessments of your capabilities or qualifications.

7.4 Content Generation Limitations

Where NIEdge tools generate text content — such as summaries, descriptions, or other written material — based on your inputs, the generated content may contain inaccuracies, grammatical errors, or phrasings that are inappropriate for your specific context. You are responsible for reviewing and verifying any generated text before using it for any purpose. NIEdge is not responsible for consequences arising from the use of unreviewed or unedited tool outputs.

8. Academic Calculation and Tracking Tools

NIEdge may provide tools designed to assist with academic calculations and tracking, including attendance calculators, GPA or CGPA estimators, semester performance trackers, and similar utilities. The following limitations apply to all such tools.

Academic calculation tools on NIEdge are based on general formulae and assumptions. The specific rules, weightings, calculation methods, and policies applied by your institution to determine your academic standing may differ from those used by NIEdge's tools. Factors such as grace marks, rounding conventions, supplementary examination policies, credit system variations, and other institution-specific practices are not always accommodated in general-purpose tools of this nature.

The outputs produced by academic calculation tools on NIEdge — including attendance percentages, projected grades, cumulative performance estimates, and similar calculations — are estimates for informational purposes only. You should not rely on these estimates for decisions with significant academic consequences, such as decisions about course registration, leave applications, examination eligibility, or academic appeals. For authoritative information about your academic standing, attendance record, and examination eligibility, you must consult your institution's official records and administrative systems.

NIEdge is not responsible for any adverse academic consequence arising from a reliance on the outputs of platform calculation tools without independent verification through official institutional sources.

9. Technical Availability

NIEdge is provided on an "as available" basis. While NIEdge makes reasonable efforts to maintain high availability of the platform, the following limitations apply.

The platform may be temporarily unavailable due to any number of factors, including scheduled maintenance, unplanned infrastructure failures, outages affecting third-party hosting or cloud services, failures of integrated services such as authentication, database, or analytics providers, internet connectivity issues outside NIEdge's control, hardware or software failures, cyber attacks, and other events that affect the platform's ability to function as expected.

NIEdge does not guarantee any minimum level of uptime, availability, or service continuity. NIEdge shall not be liable for any loss, inconvenience, missed opportunity, adverse academic or professional outcome, or any other consequence arising from the unavailability of the platform or any feature of the platform for any period of time.

In situations where planned maintenance is required, NIEdge will make reasonable efforts to schedule maintenance during periods of lower user activity and to provide advance notice where practicable. Advance notice of maintenance is provided as a courtesy and does not create any legal obligation or entitlement.

10. External Links and Third-Party Resources

The NIEdge platform may contain links to external websites, resources, publications, or platforms that are not operated or controlled by NIEdge. These links are included for informational purposes only and as a convenience to users. The inclusion of any link does not constitute an endorsement, recommendation, approval, or sponsorship of the linked website, resource, or its operator by NIEdge.

NIEdge does not monitor, control, or take responsibility for the content, availability, accuracy, legality, or privacy practices of any externally linked website or resource. You access external links entirely at your own risk and are subject to the terms, conditions, and privacy practices of the externally linked website. We strongly encourage you to review the terms and privacy policies of any external website you access through a link on NIEdge before using that website or providing any personal information to it.

External links on NIEdge may become unavailable or may redirect to different content over time as external websites change or cease to operate. NIEdge does not guarantee that any external link will remain functional or that the content at the linked destination will remain appropriate or relevant at any given time.

11. Third-Party Service Dependencies

NIEdge's functionality depends in part on third-party services and platforms, including Firebase for authentication, database, and cloud storage services; Google Analytics for usage analytics; Razorpay for payment processing; and Vercel for hosting and content delivery. The availability and performance of these third-party services directly affects the availability and performance of NIEdge.

NIEdge does not have direct control over the reliability, uptime, performance, or security practices of any third-party service on which the platform depends. Service disruptions, outages, policy changes, or discontinuations by any third-party provider may affect some or all features of NIEdge. NIEdge shall not be liable for any disruption to its features or services that is caused by or attributable to a third-party service provider.

NIEdge selects third-party service providers with care and aims to use providers that have strong track records of reliability and security. However, no provider can guarantee 100% uptime or perfect performance at all times, and NIEdge cannot be held responsible for failures at the third-party service level.

In the event of a significant disruption caused by a third-party service failure, NIEdge will make reasonable efforts to communicate the disruption to users and to work towards resolution in cooperation with the relevant provider. The timeline for resolution of third-party service disruptions is determined by the third-party provider and is outside NIEdge's direct control.

12. Future Features and Platform Changes

NIEdge may, from time to time, communicate information about planned features, upcoming improvements, future services, or the direction of platform development. All such communications represent NIEdge's intentions and expectations at the time of communication and do not constitute commitments, representations, or warranties regarding the future availability of any particular feature or service.

NIEdge reserves the right to change, delay, cancel, or remove any planned feature at any time without prior notice and without any obligation or liability to users who may have had an expectation of that feature. The complexity of software development means that features that are planned, announced, or described as "coming soon" may not be delivered as originally described, may be delivered later than originally anticipated, may be delivered in a different form than originally described, or may not be delivered at all.

Similarly, NIEdge reserves the right to modify, restrict, or remove any feature that is currently available on the platform. Features that are currently available may be changed in functionality, moved to a different access tier (including from free to paid), or discontinued entirely. NIEdge will make reasonable efforts to provide advance notice of significant changes to existing features, but does not guarantee any minimum notice period unless required by the Terms and Conditions or applicable law.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, NIEdge, its founders, contributors, and associated parties accept no liability whatsoever for any loss, damage, injury, harm, or adverse outcome arising directly or indirectly from your use of or reliance on the NIEdge platform, its content, its tools, or any information, guidance, or output obtained through the platform.

This limitation of liability applies to all types of loss and damage, including direct loss, indirect loss, consequential loss, economic loss, loss of opportunity, loss of profit, loss of revenue, loss of data, loss of academic standing, loss of employment, loss of professional reputation, and any other form of loss or damage, whether foreseeable or not, and whether NIEdge had been advised of the possibility of such loss or damage or not.

Specific examples of loss and damage for which NIEdge accepts no liability include, without limitation:

• Loss of examination marks or failure in any examination;
• Adverse academic consequences arising from reliance on content, calculations, or guidance from NIEdge;
• Failure to obtain employment, internship, or any other professional opportunity;
• Adverse professional consequences arising from the use of tool outputs without independent verification;
• Financial loss arising from decisions made on the basis of information available on NIEdge;
• Loss or corruption of data uploaded to or generated through the platform;
• Any harm arising from the unavailability of the platform during a critical period;
• Any harm arising from inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated information on the platform.

This Disclaimer of liability is intended to apply to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law. Some jurisdictions do not permit the full exclusion or limitation of liability for certain types of loss. To the extent that applicable law requires a minimum level of liability to be maintained, NIEdge's liability is limited to that minimum amount.

This section should be read in conjunction with the Disclaimer of Warranties and Limitation of Liability provisions in the NIEdge Terms and Conditions, which together constitute the complete statement of NIEdge's liability position.

14. Indemnification

By using the NIEdge platform, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless NIEdge, its founders, contributors, and associated parties from any claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising from your use of the platform in a manner that is contrary to these Terms or applicable law, from any content you submit to the platform, or from any decision you make on the basis of information or outputs obtained through the platform.

This indemnification obligation is separate from and in addition to any other obligations you have under the NIEdge Terms and Conditions. It is intended to ensure that NIEdge is not exposed to legal or financial liability as a result of how individual users choose to use the platform.

15. Acceptance

By accessing or using the NIEdge platform in any capacity — whether as a registered user or as a visitor — you confirm that you have read this Disclaimer in its entirety and that you accept the limitations described herein. You acknowledge that you understand the educational and informational nature of the platform, that you understand the specific limitations on accuracy and outcomes described in this document, and that you will not hold NIEdge responsible for any loss or adverse outcome arising from your use of the platform.

If you are using the platform on behalf of another person, you confirm that you have the authority to accept these limitations on their behalf and that you have made them aware of the relevant limitations where appropriate.

This Disclaimer was last updated in July 2026 and may be updated from time to time to reflect changes in the platform or applicable law. Continued use of the platform following any update to this Disclaimer constitutes acceptance of the updated version.
